Kardashian sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are in hot water after they were accused of breaching their contract with their investor Hillair Capital Management. Hillair accused the reality stars of breach of contract, fraud and deceit. The company invested more than $10 million in an attempt to salvage the struggling Kardashian Beauty make-up line after former distributor Boldface closed amidst legal and financial troubles.
It’s been a long, difficult road for the Kardashian Beauty line, which was first conceptualised back in 2012. While sometimes it appears everything the Kardashians touch turns to gold, it looks like they’ve finally found something they can’t magic into cold, hard cash.
The lawsuit makes the Kardashians out to be an absolute nightmare to work with.
“The Kardashians’ support was, of course, absolutely essential to the success of the Kardashian-branded line and was a fundamental premise of the parties’ bargain. But while Hillair upheld its end of the bargain, the Kardashians did not.”
